Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I tend to really focus on some very specific patterns in my small traditional collection.  I really enjoy the coke bottle.  What about you?  Would love to see photos or hear stories about your favorite patterns.  This Case is the one that started it all for me.This Schatt & Morgan is my most recent Coke.  I am sure it will not be my last.

I really like the mini-trappers a lot also. They fit in the pocket and hand so well. SO = Stockmans and Mini Trappers are my favorites.

Don't know why or how this has happened to me but over the years of collecting and using knives I've come to prefer multi-blade knives that have the blades opening on one side! This would be jack knives, barlows, trappers, copperheads, hunters, etc. I generally shun muskrats, pen knives, stockmans, whittlers, congress patterns, canoes, sow bellys, etc. [Hey, maybe I'm simple. Too many blades coming out both ends confuses me! :) :) :)]

For EDCs I'm partial to drop points; assisted openers; liner/frame locks rather than lock backs. Hardly ever carry a knife that doesn't lock.

I really hadn't thought about a favorite pattern until I read this post.  The main focus of my collecting is Case and Rough Rider brands.  I only collect two specific patterns and like them both.  If the one I have the most of is my favorite, then fish knives would be my favorite pattern.  The top row of knives in this picture is my fish knife collection.

Knives

From left to right:  Szco-Pakistan, Imperial-USA, Frost Ocoee River-China, Imperial Diamond Edge-USA, Queen-USA, Providence Cutlery-USA, Rough Rider-China, Colonial-USA, Ka Bar T29-USA, North American Fishing Club-China, Ideal Knife Co.-USA

The other specific pattern that I collect is a sub set of my Case collection.  It is Case Mini Blackhorns.

Top row:  Ducks Unlimited 2007--Kneeling Cowboy Undated--Carhartt Undated

Middle Row:  Mint 1990--My EDC Undated--Merry Christmas 1993

Bottom Row:  Making A Case For America 2008--Boy Scouts Of America Undated

My favorite pattern is the Mini Coke bottle 25 1/2 , Case is the majority of what I have collected but I do have other knife companies mingled in with them.

The case Select is an excellent one.....

I also tend to migrate toward small coffin bolster knives too...  lol

LOL- jan you beat me to it..i was gonna say same thing -anything with a wharnie.. but honestly as far as patterns go.. i cant pick a favorite.. but i do like the ole school stuff.. ie-MATCH LONG PULLS,DEEP NON COLORED ETEHS ON THE BLADE..BOLSTERS WITH REAL TRUE RATTails, not just ringed but DEEP RATS that go almost to the liner! AND PINCHES..ectect..i really ,really love finding an oldie that hass all the liners milled.. that is one thing i really wish companies would bring back... mill every liner!. well not all..but i love a nice old MOP with MILLED BRASS it just sparkles all around! ..in the end i love em all.. OH AND FINALLY LETS NOT FORGET THAT OLE FASHION BONE..i am now working on BONEYARD NUMBER 2!!.. the boneyard..-"its where great bone goes to live on well after the steel"...LOL!
