I don't get to many shows either. I had booked a flight to one in MI this weekend that I have wanted to go to for years....but this weekend is basketball sections and I have three kids playing, so I cancelled.
You feel free to use iKC here as your "going to knife shows" I am always looking for folks who enjoy and like our community. :)
Good Stuff, Jill. Thanks. Buck's trying to do a little PR to improve the damage of getting knives made outside US. It hurt them. The Puma intel is good. I'll check that out.
Appreciate it. Do you go typically get to any knife shows, or pretty much stick to gun shows?
Another comment from SHOT show 2010: ["Buck Knives announced its “American
Commitment.” Put simply, the company says it wanted to make as many knives as
possible in its Post Falls, Idaho, plant. The idea was to greatly reduce offshore
outsourcing, which, at its peak, totaled about half of all the manufacturer’s knives."]
from SHOT show..."Puma Knife Company A pair of industry veterans is breathing new life into the vennerable German knife maker. Look for the reintroduction of the Pathfinder, Game Warden and Deerhunter, as well as some new products in 2010."
O it was great!! So much to see, so much to do!!! I checked out my usual buddies: GunBroker.com, Cimarron, Glock, Springfield, NAA, Taurus, etc. Went over to have Gunny autograph the photo I took of us at the 2008 show and then took a new pick at this show. Springfield has a new XD coming out in a 3.8 barrel..that was my fav. Some of the new rifles that are coming out from Marlin are too good looking and of course the law enforcement/tactical section had rows of cool new stuff for your AR15 and such. the only bad thing about it is - you cannot buy anything...LOL..well some booths do sell some stuff but not the guns unless you are a dealer placing an order. Went to check out what new ammo is coming out...Corbon and Winchester both feel the "scramble" is over (for now at least) and the ammo shortage will start to slow and eventually disolve...the show is going to be here in Vegas for the next 5 years...I am so excited!!!

Great folks, always willing to help regardless if you are a tactical fan, folder fan, custom fan or maker… there’s something here, especially great knives and a support network to help you hone your collection, trade your collection or broaden your collection… AND yes I have the hat on so I can be more like our beloved leader Scott!
