Alas I have to say that of all the members here I am least qualified to answer that, I have some newer Queen knives and will buy some more ,they have a certain quality that I like even though I would not be able to put my finger on quite why. My GEC knives over all maybe a little finer finished but I just like Queen .
Anyway there are a whole host of experienced guy's and Gal's here who could tell you about older knives, my friends Ron or Jan or John McCain , now he seems to know his stuff ! I am just a Brit who has only begun to enjoy US made knives recently. Sorry to not be of more help , John B .
