Thanks for answering my questions, Stefan! You really have a great talent for making beautiful knives! And, those bolsters really look like nickel to my aging eyes. They are beautiful regardless of what they are made of.
Try to get hold of some books by "Al Stohlman" on leather work. these books are exellent for teaching technics , colouring, carving etc. You will only get themfrom second hand book shops as the are old and about A3 size. If you come up this side of the world and bring a memory stick I can give you some electronically.
Hi Stefan,
Thanks for asking about my progress with wire inlays and for telling me about the instructional video website. I finished my first wire inlay pocket knife and it came out better than I expected! I posted a photo of it a few weeks ago, but it wasn't a very good photo, so I took another one and am posting it within this comment. Also, I checked out the instructional video website you mentioned, and looked at the videos they have for sale. The video on silver inlays looks really cool, but it's a little too pricey for me right now. I'll sure keep it in mind though, and I put the website in my Favorites list for future reference. Thanks for the interest in my progress and the helpful website link. Regards, Terry.

I hope you will accept my offer of friendship.
Cheers!
I do all my own Leather work, i believe that as a knife maker i should be able to do leather work to compliment the knife.
