Hi I am trying to date a rough rider folder(no lock). It is 5.5 folded 9.5 open ,yellow handle metal bolsters.1086 stamped 0n blade.

One of my few complaints about Rough Ryder's is the inability to date them, Rob. There are ways to, based on the shield and the tang stamp, but narrowing it down is extremely difficult to within a span of years. 

SMKW currently has this one listed as out of stock showing a price of $9.99.  No, they're not expensive, but dollar for dollar,  they're some of the best knives around.
