SK. I did not consider my knife having cast aluminum handle scales. They may be even silver, but I doubt it. All I know is they are some sort of metal and very well made.

There is so many different patterns, that are made by a bunch of different knife makers. I love to enjoy them all. I hope ya'll enjoy these two, I do and a bunch of others just like them. A person could collect this type of collectable knife, without braking the budget. The variety is great and the joy of collecting them is also GREAT.

A few years ago, I acquired this little Colonial knife as part of a lot. It's not particularly remarkable as far as knives go. However, through a contact in the US, I was able to send this to an American Veteran who fought in the Battle of Iwo Jima. That makes it very special.

WOW what a neat knife S-K. Never saw one like that before.

Very nice.  Thankfully it appears to be made in the USA and not Japan.  Japan officially changed the island's name to Iwo To in 2007.  Apparently that has worked out too well.  Only a handful of Japanese call the island by that name and many find it insulting to all the Japanese soldiers who died on the island.  Today it is garrisoned by Japanese soldiers who still call it Iwo Jima and not the official name.

Great knife and story SK. thanks. I'm a son of a Veteran of the Pacific WWII.

Thanks for the additional information Toby. Glad you like the knife Robert. Thanks for your comments.

This round knife is a proper lobster slip joint with a Y shaped spring.

Real neat, I love the design and tang stamp.

Very unique looking knife, I have never seen one like it before. Thanks for showing us.

Great unusual knife, Smiling-Knife.

Smiling-Knife,

I forgot to mention that I spent three years at RAF Chicksands (nr. Bedford) back in the '60s.
