Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I witness many stereo type men at the gun shows when they see a pink knife. (Spyderco) " Their comment is why would anyone want a pink knife" Well it immediately gets my attention and brings out the rebel in me. I tell them the pink Spyderco knife is to help support the cure for breast cancer. They seem to shut up and say "oh ok" But if you know me I cant just let it rest there. I proceed to pick their brain on exactly what do they have against the color "pink" They really cannot give me an answer other than no man wants a pink knife. Well I have sold many knives to all ages and genders and some of the knives are rainbow colored. SO if it has multicolors on the knife it is considered a man's knife??? But if it is solid pink it is only for a woman or a child or for whom then??? So the bubble gum Case knife is only for a woman?? I think NOT. There are more and more women invovled in Guns and knives presently than ever before I would wager that fact. So if the knife industry is to continue to grow then should'nt men keep a more open mind as to the knife itself and not to who they think the knife should be possessed by. I guess "pink" is and always will be reflected as a girly color regardless ............

Lets not confuse Maroon with pink. I think a man must be sure of himself to tote a pink knife in front his peers. I would not have trouble with it but it's just not my color. I think a knife made with Purple Heart, I would like. It is sort of purple's pink.

As long as were splitting hairs.  What about magenta?

Looks good to me. I'm just not a hot pink fan, for men or women.

Well I actively sought a pink Colt knife that Smoky Mountain Knife Works showed on one of the closing shows. I don't have it yet but in advance of my first granddaughter I will keep looking or possibly I found it:http://www.smkw.com/webapp/eCommerce/products/Colt/Colt%C2%AE+%22La...

I would so carry a pink knife :) I meant to buy one once, but they sold out and I forgot about it when I bought ALL of the other knives ;)

Evidently since this thread started I think pink knives might have run their course. I see them offered at heavily discounted prices. Just recently Natchez Shooters Supply has a special on "pink" knives. I forgot which brand.

Michael, I think they come and go.  The thing I don't think a woman is going to buy a knife simply because it is pink.  I could be wrong, but it seems to me that a woman who is inclined to carry a knife is going to buy a knife regardless of the color.

Tobias you are so right.  As a metter fact if the knife comes in a color other than pink, that will be the one I choose

I love RED. The more white is added to red then I'm not so much interested. The more "blood" you add - oh yeah - I'm there! Magenta is gorgeous. Just look at it compared to the other knife.
