Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I got this knife from a collector in canada. I was told it was from WW2 but I cant find any marking or any information online to this particular one if anyone can help me identify what this is and what year it is from that would be greatly appreciative.

I added this link because it looked a bit like mine

Brandon, IMHO it is likely a "theater made" WWII knife-Every country in the war had knives made by servicemen- Thousands were made during the war-Shipboard machinists  made them to sell to other servicemen, etc.- Some were made as fighting knives, others as souvenirs or letter openers. Seabees used to make them from salvaged aircraft parts, etc. The authenticity and provenance is almost impossible to prove, as the majority were never marked. These knives were made from old files or other tool steel-Handles were made from salvaged materials like plexiglass, insulation materials, aluminum, brass, etc. Quality ranges from amazing to so-so depending on the skill of the maker.Anyhow here are a couple of other examples---

Thank you John! A great find!

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
