Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The Community knives are on their way, lets have a little fun

The 2014 Community knives were sent priority, on the way to their new homes today :)  I have not posted a picture of any of them (haha).  I am excited that each of the handle materials have small variances in it, so no two will be exactly alike.  Donnie reviewed them all for me so I have not seen all of them either, BUT I WANT TO!!  So I am going to offer up a Queen Maroon handled Country Cousin knife for a photo contest prize.  This will run a little while because 4 knives are making their way to other parts of the world.

So here are the guidelines

Post a picture of your 2014 IKC Community knife with something unique to your area and enter it here.  Lets see how creative we can be with our own city, state or country

I will choose 3 impartial judges.  I think we run this for about a month, I want those going out of the country to show us theirs also.  Lets see if we can get every knife to show back up on here.

Ready, set, SHOOT YOUR PICTURES!

Hi John, Sorry, but I just have to jump in here and say - That is just the coolest picture ever! With Scagel's shop in the background, representing the past. And the iKC  Community Knife in the forefront, representing the future. I think you just nailed it!  Thanks so much....                                         "Lone Wolf".

Got my iKC 2014 club knife and goodies yesterday, and here they are, next to a bottle of Yuengling Porter - the oldest brewery in America (since 1829), and it is brewed right here in Pennsylvania, in Pottsville.

Well now!  I am awfully proud to know someone that can do the Okra Strut!!  Supporting the community through fun and creative idea!

John,

The Scagel shop, we are classing it up!  I bet that was one heck of a great shop to visit

Howard!  The oldest continually knife shop and the oldest Brewery together.  Sounds  and looks like a great way to spend a day

so what do you all think of the new business cards?  Magnifiers are something I figured folks would keep and use instead of throw away LOL

Jan - I think the magnifier cards are great! This is a nice item. Thanks for the card and pencil. I will put them to good use.

P.S. Nice picture Howard! Ya all have a nice week....                "Lone Wolf".

Pennsylvania doesn't show up on the top or bottom of the usual lists of best places to live or worst places to live, but we have a bunch of knife manufacturers (W.R. Case, Queen, GEC) and makers (Survive Knives, and others) here in PA.  Yuengling Porter, Lager, and Black & Tan taste better than any craft beer I have had, and I think that Yuengling opened a brewery down your way (Tampa), Jan.  And, our "2nd Amendment" is strong:  "The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned."  Article 1 Section 21.

Queen Cutlery did a fine job on the knife; nice snap, fit and finish.  Thanks for the pencil and magnifier.  Mechanical pencils (.5mm) are great for the desk, but I like the old #2s for around-the-house carpentry.

Jan I will keep and use at least one of them. Any extras will be handed out to others who might be interested in joining.:)

Neat idea.  Can always use a handy magnifier, and it fits in a wallet credit card slot.  I think it will keep this business card from stagnating in the rubber-banded stack of business cards.

mine is in my wallet, also.

OK ya'll Donnie tells me there is one knife out there that looks almost appaloosa.  I want to see it!!!  OK I confess I want to see them all
