Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Sorry for being away for a while but as you may know my mom passed away last month and it's been a rough time for me so I've been kind of out of it. But I'm back, didja miss me? :) Question, does anyone have a cheap tripod they want to sell? I need one to shoot knife videos. Nothing expensive, it's just for a little point and shoot camera. Just want to be able to make the videos and have my hands free. Want to do more knife videos. I have over a dozen new knives to share. They run the gammut from higher dollar mid techs to inexpensive knives I got just because they looked cool ($10 specials as I call them). I'm not a knife snob, if I like it, I'll own it, even if it is a cheap Chinese blade that's all about show and not about go. Sure I'd love to own some unique custom knives, but I live off of disability so that's not really an option. My most expensive knife is my Sebenza, followed by some nice ZT's and Spyderco's and a couple of Benchmades, the rest are CRKT and Kershaw's, which I love just the same and then a few of the cheaper knives I have just because they look cool. I have a small but growing collection of traditional knives (Case, Queen, GEC) and will grow that part of my collection over time. I'm especially partial to Abalone knives. I love those things. Anyway, just wanted to say why I've been away from the site and I'm back. Howdy IKC'ers!

Hugs,

Michael

Welcome back, Michael.

Yep, you've been missed.   Nice to see you getting back in the swing of things.

If you're just looking for a small tripod, might want to check with the local Walmart.  I picked up a small one that fits into the pocket of my camera bag.  They also have larger ones that you could use that's probably cheaper than postage to ship one to you.

Sorry to hear anout your mom, thats hard. Welcome back to the world of knives.

Glad to have you back Michael!  It is always hard to lose a parent.  Both of mine are gone, about 10 and 20 years ago.

Michael,

I too am very sorry to hear about your loss.  I just got back to the site from Blade and saw this.  What kind of camera is it?

Michael- Yes, you were missed-- I lost my dear father a year ago and my posting was absent for a while, too- Just glad to have you back in the fold.

Thanks guys, I lost my dad in 2007 to kidney failure and a heart attack during dialysis. My family and I are very close so anyone going is a big huge deal. Lost my brother in 08 too. But enough sad news. I'm looking for a floor standing tripod, I'll have to get it online one way or the other because I''m homebound. I'll try Amazon and see what they have. I usually use Amazon for everything.

Hugs,

Michael
