The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I acquired a collection of mostly case knives but there is one Bulldog in the bunch and a couple of Rough Riders that I don't think have any value but was wondering what would be the best way to find a value and where to list them for sale. I am basically a gun dealer, though I do like to collect a few knives but these were a part of a gun deal and would like to at least pay for the gun. I have 13 Case in all, the oldest appear to be from the 93-99 period on up to recent production. Two have Mother Of Pearl scales. The knives are all new unsharpened but the boxes he sent them in don't match the knives. Out of 13 there was one that appeared to be in the correct box. Any ideas how or where to proceed with these?

I did. I sold it to a friend locally. I think I let him have it too cheap at $45 but he buys a lot of guns so I don't figure I got hurt any. I also sold him the medium stag stockman.
If anyone who is watching this has any interest in anything they see, feel free to contact me. I'm not looking to make a killing on any of these. Don't want to give them away either.
The guy I got these from said that many of them came from Smoky Mountain Knife Works.

I believe this is called a barlow?
Curtis-- Not a Barlow- This is actually a model 62991/2 Chestnut bone uneven jack knife- This a discontinued knife pattern from Case. Your knife was part of a 2000 Case Millennium 50 piece knife set. There were only 500 sets made, your being part of set #196. The set originally sold for around $4000 for the 50 knife set. Some collectors kept the sets intact, while others broke them up and sold them piece by piece, which makes your knife pretty scarce. The Case MM shield (the MM being the Latin number for 2000) and the blade etch were exclusive to these sets. There were never any individual boxes for these knives, being part of a set. Knives out of this set normally run around $100-$110. Your knife might bring much more as it is a knife pattern no longer being made, which makes it more desirable to a collector.
