You want to know one of the things I like about IKC?

Even if you post something in the "wrong" place, nobody makes a big deal out of it! I suppose we all enjoy the conversation so much that it doesn't matter much where you say it.

Michael,

We have been fortunate enough to have members and sponsors donate (Thank You to all) and when iKC is buying giveaways we have sponsors that help with the cost.  The January contest, our help came from TSA knives.  Now to think of a contest geared around the outdoors!

It's raining here in Kentucky today. I'm sitting in the floor with one of my "knife drawers" open. Finding knives that were almost forgotten...but not quite.

I just wanted to post a picture here to let you all see a couple of "strange" knives. I suppose the most odd might be the "Scandinavian Air Service" folder made by "Remington UMC" as shown on the blade. What I find unusual is that the "jet engines" shown on the airplane are quite obviously "BOMBS"....hmmm.

Then there is the "neck knife" that looks like a piece of gaudy jewelry. (to me anyway). Turns out it's a "Gravity" knife....push the top where the chain link is and a tiny blade drops from the other end. Bet you can't get on a plane with that one. But the advertising on the trinket reads "Princess Anne"...a cruise ship I suppose?

And then there is my 1966 Imperial military type knife with the broken spring backs. I knew it was broken when I bought it but I wanted one marked 1966....the year I graduated from high school. Might fix it someday? All knives are for sale or trade as is most everything else I own...except the wife and the dog. Mostly I'm just looking for feedback. Enjoy:Close up pictures available on request. Now I'll try to find the correct place to post these!

Hello All,

I've been really busy lately. I received the "Kuro" and "Neck Knife" a couple of days ago. To say that I'm pleased would be an understatement.....I'm elated. Both knives are excellent pieces. The "Kuro" opens so fast it's scary. My wife was impressed with the "Neck Knife." She thinks it looks "Bad Asp".....closest I wanted to get on the spelling. Hehehe.

Many thanks to Jan and Manx for making this possible. These two tools will stay with me forever.

Michael Roper

Congrats, Michael !!!  Don't let that "asp" bite you.  My wife knows by the band aides, when a new knife crosses our door.  he he he

LOL Bill, no sneaking one in there!

Michael, Glad you are pleased and that these have become the knives of the next "story" for your collection.  Enjoy and Thank you for all you do.

Glad it finally made it!
