John, the amount of knife knowledge here is downright amazing.  That said, what do you want to find out more about?  What knives interest you?  Any photos of your knives you could share?  I tend to be into more contemporary styles of knives -- & am just starting to explore some of the Chinese brands that have hit the market in recent years (Kizer, Bestech, CJRB, etc.), though I entered through American brands (though often made in China).  The knife that I consider to have kicked off my knife collecting habit was the SOG Trident folder in desert camouflage -- it as the first knife I spent over $50 on, I took tons of time researching & deciding to pull the trigger, & was a great learning experience (it's really light & sharp, but wow, the side-to-side blade play...)  Anyway, welcome, John!

John: Welcome to iKC! I be here for the same reason. It’s like being in 3rd grade again & me teacher having me improve on my cursive writing didn’t progress to well nor my printing. When it comes to knives some are still in grade school. Others have graduated High School; there are “college students” of knives, some with a degree. Then the best part we have professors of the trade and then the professors - Professor or the Masters. Ya get out of the isle when they stroll through, kinda don’t want to give-m the big head.  ;)  If ones knowledge of knives doesn’t grow, they twernt listen-n.  Ron Faler
