I found an older article by Frank Trzaska (from 2004)  It is a lengthy one, but I am going to try to copy it here.

NOPE!  the maximum character length is 4000.  I will try to place it elsewhere.  It is an interesting read.  :)

These use a one piece pommel with a 3/32" half pin. Handle design is stacked leather with 18 ridges. Otherwise, nearly identical to the Cattaraugus 225

OH!  I was not aware of those.  I will have to do more research on them.  Did Case use the same buttcap design as Cattaraugus?  If I did not know better, I would have guessed those were made by Cattaraugus.  LOL!

Were those in the same time frame (era) as the 225Qs?  Just a touch bigger?

Those are neat knives. 

I cleaned one up a while ago.  No real restoration to it, Just a bit of a cleaning is all.  Mine had the original sheath and everything.  Check out the pic in my gallery if you are interested.
