The knives look good Dennis. I do feel your pain on quality of a new knife not being up to what we feel should be a "new" standard. It looks like you have been able to successfully make them look good though. But I agree, you should not be expected to do that work on a new knife. If these rubs, scuffs, and scratches seem to be the normal level of their new quality standards, I can easily see where you would be seriously reconsidering future investments with the company.
If I were in your position, and you are of the decision that you cannot continue to support this level (of lack thereof) of quality, I would probably reach out to Case and try to speak with some in Customer Service and perhaps Quality Assurance. There is a chance (albeit small) that they may try to do something in an attempt to appease you. If they do not see that something is wrong, then be prepared to sever the ties that keep you coming back and purchasing more. That very well could be painful for you in the short term, but as you have observed, there really is no excuse for the slipshod quality standard at that price level. You have an example of a higher fit and finish quality standard at a lower price point. Hopefully others will make a similar decision, and the company should see an impact to their bottom line. Will it be enough to change anything? I cannot say. But there is a point where they cannot continue to provide sub-standard products at quality product prices. That is all part of a capitalistic system. I just hate to see you brought to this point.
