Here is an Eginma! I believe it to be a 1997 Midnight Stag SFO overun! It has 3 dots under the long tail C like the others from that era have. But this one is different that it has the Kodiak Bear on the Blade instead of the Stag as the Other Midnight Stags have. The sheath that came with it is the regular Brown sheath. Sadly no box or papers came with the knife so I am looking for a Silver or Brown Box for thais era. Any help or other information would be appreciated.

Very True Lars. There always those knives that just don't fall into the regular issues.  Years ago they were called Lunch Box knives.  The enterprising Cutlers were said to have made them and then traded them to people on the way to or from vacation!  Maybe someone else has one of these and will let me know more information. Maybe this was one of them?   I can always hope someone has additional info on it!  I have a few of what are described as overruns, or special issues.  Most of the Kodiaks are works of art and I believe Case has stopped producing them?  I gasp at the thought of anyone actually using one to cut anything.  The only thing that these will cut is one of my improperly placed finger during cleaning or inspection of the blade!  Thanks for the comments.

Ain't that the way it goes...there's always an anomoly, enigma, or an exception to the "production" offerings that counter what was long belived to be the standard.

Man that's a pretty piece...(over emphasize my reaction to viewing this please!). I am still in awe to think that someone would actually consider using this fully functional knife as it was intended. These are just too cool to use!

Nice one Mike -
