Thanks, Lars! I knew about this knife & for kind of a long time, I didn't really know what to make of it. Then all of a sudden, I just felt like I really needed to have it... And I don't regret that decision, not at all.
It's a little small for me, but not prohibitively so (just a little smaller in my hand than I'd like). I actually acquired the purple version of this knife first, then saw this one being sold on consignment. There's also a pink version. No surprise, but this knife was originally marketed toward women (this trend has long frustrated me, but that's for a different post).
AND, there's another version that flips the sharpened edge with the spine, so the sharpened edge is straight, & meant to be held upward, while the spine is on the curved side -- it's all black, & it's called The Unzipper -- inspired by Pikal style knives...
Hmmm...I find it hard to explain why I like this knife - not sure why, I just do. It looks like it would fit just right in the hand, comfortably, while slicing or cutting. It's certainly not plain, but it's not spectacular either - yet it has all the right lines in the right place. Does that make sense?
Nice one there DLKG - I like it.
