sorry to hear about its problems since it looks like such a nice knife. hope you didnt waste too much money on it

Here is my newest knife. I also have a funny little ritual. Whenever I get a new knife I always use the last knife I got to open the package. Weird I know.
Nice. I have been wanting a Scandi.
Never mind
Picked up a Kershaw Ener-G II (1745) yesterday. I had looked at the Ener-G (1740) a few weeks earlier, but the clip was tip down only, so I passed. But this one came in that day and wasn't even in the display case yet at the store. Nice feel and action, and when I saw it had a two-point carry.... yoink, it was mine. :)
Just finished Kershaw-ping at my local haunt. Picked up a klutch of Kershaws.
From little to big..... 1700 LFK, 1740 Ener-G, 1775 OD-1, 1760, Skyline, 1560 Whirlwind. So my kurrent Kershaw kount is now up to 15 individual knives, but really only a Baker's Dozen of models. I've had to evict some of the non-Kershaw residents of my folder drawer, so now it's a Kershaw-Only Zone for that drawer... I guess the KG in my name could now stand for Kershaw Guy. :)
Isn't that a Jim Bowie by Eye Brand, if so the steel is supposed to be a really good carbon. The yellow scales do give a warm glow that some of us knife gathers find rather appealling. Even with the problems you found I think this knife will become a favorite is short order. But if you decide you just can't stand to have it around the house just send it to me and I will put it up where it will not bother you any more.
Here is my 2 newest additions. A monster Musso Bowie and an Outback Bowie.

Some great knives posted here. I had hoped to post my newest, a Spyderco Delica with a Damascus blade and blue jigged bone handle. It is very cool. Problem is my camera is not working properly. Hope to fix later today. Anyone else manage to find one of these knives? I hear they a fairly uncommon.
A great collection of knives you guys have all gotten.  One thing i like about this site is learning and seeing and the comments from you guys on all the varieties.  So today the girlfriend I decided that food could wait and we would buy knives...lol.  Our trip was to mainly purchase the Expendables Bowie but my girlfriend did want to replace her Boker Urban Survival she manage to misplace somehow.  Originally she wanted an Urban Dart from Cold Steel but they were out...they are also discontinued too...so she settled on a Scottish Spike.  I got something I had wanted for many years and that was a butterfly knife, illegal here in Canada and many if not all places in the US, so what I ended up with was the Cold Steel Paradox.  It's so stiff it takes two hands to open but a very nice looking knife.  Lastly I got the SOG Flash Tanto 2.  The blade a little smaller than I wanted but i still really love the look and the assisted opening is a dream.  Only three pics up the rest in my albums.
