Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Good news! Today we upgraded our chat application. If you regularly use chat, you'll probably find the new chat more friendly and more reliable:

• Easy to find: You'll find the new chat in your browser window's footer. Click on it and start chatting (click again to close it).

• More responsive: It should snap to attention and respond to your commands better than the old chat.

• Better technology: It's not Flash-based anymore, so it will even work on some mobile devices.

• New sounds and notifications: You can turn those off if you want. You'll also see a visual notification when new messages are posted.

• Ignore people: Choose who you want to chat with — or click the "Ignore" button. It's up to you.

• Pop it out: Need more space to chat? Pop it out into its own window.

Give the new chat a try!

Hog,

Just wanted to say I like the rewording

What is iKnife Collector?

iKC enjoys cutting edge technology, but what makes us different are our members. We are a knife community in every sense of the word. Our members enjoy gaining knife knowledge, seeing great knife pictures and engaging in knife discussion.

iKC is home to over 100 groups that all seek to explore, to the fullest extent possible, deep, meaningful, discussion in virtually every given segment of the knife industry.

Join us today and welcome!

Thanks Jan, I tried to combine what you all felt and took time to express. I don't know if I exactly hit it but I want people to see that when they consider joining. BTW I probably will change it more frequently just to keep it interesting!

Yes, I know I've said this before....but the new chat...totally redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up will be here next week. Between now and then I will try to gather the detail on what is coming so everyone will know. Stay tuned........

I'm ready for it.

I hope it will work with an Ipad. right now I can see what's going on, but no chat .

I am soooo excited!! The past few days have been challanging with our current chat.  Thanks for working it out for our new one to arrive

I'm anxious about it because I'd like it to be a smooth transition for our members who use chat but everything has to be set just right. So I guess its ready or not here we come! It will be iPad accessible because it is being completely rewritten using an advanced language.

We're looking to get a new ISP, in the next few weeks.  Hopefully it'll let me use the chat function more.

Hey Steve.

Visited the new chat page.  Every time I try to connect it disconnects me.  What's the catch?

JJ,

Maybe its just us LOL.  It connects me long enough to see other folks in there then it disconnects me.
