What tools and supplies will you need? Disinfectants, pain killers, gauze, mouth washes, picks, pliers knives etc. You or your loved ones must survive....suddenly you are the dentist....This post not intended for the squeamish.

As always, prevention is the best medicine.
Well that is true. I don't know what prompted me stumbling across this, but in looking at some survival blog this topic appeared. The answers as I said were not for the squeamish. But it is something that folks responded to, so I thought perhaps it is something we should consider as we post things here. I debated it a bit but I suppose it somewhat falls under general practice, broken arms or legs or any kind of fracture. In the event of a major disaster, you have to be prepared.

While prevention is awesome and necessary. Regrettably nutrition has a whole lot to do with dental health as we get older. I always have ambesol when we travel so that would help temporarily and I do not know of a way to numb the area if you have to pull a tooth. I do know drinking alcohol and honey are good for keeping infections at a minumum
