Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

It used to be every man, and many women, carried a knife. Now days, folks carry cell phones- we have different daily needs in many cases, plus it really isn't socially acceptable to wield a knife in public, if you can believe it. Don't have one around young kids that aren't you own without that Mom jerking those kids away from your "weapon."

So the question is this- have you been in a situation recently where you pulled out your knife, either to show it to someone or because something needed cut, only to see shock or angry on the faces of the people around you?

That is so true Kim.  I read somewhere that that a large percentage of stabbings are done with cutlery type, not pocket knives. So watch out, they may take your kitchen knives too LOL.

It wouldn't surprise me nowadays! "Certain people" want to take ALL of my freedom and rights! But they won't get my guns and knives! Unless they want to pry them from my cold dead hands! LOL!

I have friends on Facebook, many are "knife people, mostly makers" I also have many non-knife people (excluding my family) Those that are not into knives much.... seldom talk to me, because knives scare them. They think its wrong...So sad to have that misconception.

I had to use my knife yesterday at work, to cut some twine, and the customer said "they let you have that here?"
Tell that to a mechanic about his wrench, which can be more dangerous then a knife.
So sad.

Funny that you say that Steven, a lot of gang members and thugs across the country always used to carry a sharpened screwdriver!

When I was young, if you didn't have a knife on you, you couldn't get much done.
Hunting, fishing, general work, a knife was more important then a belt! Still is to me, need that tool wherever I go.
Used one of my mom's kitchen knives once to skin a few rattle snakes. She nearly killed me! Lol

Sharpened screwdrivers?
Don't see why they would need to be sharpened! LOL

Like I say; anything worth having is worth sharpening.

Well I don't sharpen it exactly I do grind them though when they wear down, and like magic you have a new screwdriver! But its no weapon it is just a screw driver!
