Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Possibly one of the most popular fixed blades of modern times. Once upon a time if you wanted a Sharpfinger, it was Schrade, or no Sharpfinger at all!

Now since the demise of Schrade, a bunch of companies are making a "Sharpfinger"!

If you have never held a "Sharpfinger" in your hand you don't know what you're missing! It feels sooo perfect. Like an extension of your hand.........a Sharp-Finger!

If you have one, or some, lets see pictures and hear what you think of them!

When Schrade was still pumping them out, it was in a head to head race for most used deer hunting knife with the Buck 119! At least it always seemed that way.

An original in beautiful shape!

Why don't you get it?

I would if I could. It's not for sale, and he doesn't respond good to threats.

Everybody has a price for material objects. He just needs the right motivation to sell. Make him an offer he can't refuse. If he still won't sell.....you've seen the Godfather.

Brad,

I think the D2 would make a nice sharpfinger.  Let us know what you decide on?

LOL! All I need is a horses head.

In the 1970's , when the most colorful gun writer ever, Elmer Keith , wrote monthly articles  for Guns & Ammo, he carried a Sharpfinger during his western antelope hunts. As an incentive to purchase a two year subscription to this mag., the purchaser recieved a FREE Schrade Sharpfinger! For four years running , I purchased two every couple of years, one subscription for me and one for dad. He didn't hunt,so I kept the Sharpfingers, (Dad carried a 2 3/4 inch OLD Timer). Eventually trading off three of them for knives I forgot about. Keeping one, I have put up somewhere after many years of use. The shield is marked GUNS&AMMO instead of OLD TIMER. I hope I didn't lose it in the move a few years back. Of the new versions, the PUMA looks good, wonder if Chinese or German made? Really makes no difference as PUMA steel quality standards are steel high!

That GUNS & AMMO Sharpfinger sounds like a good one. I hope you didn't lose it either! LOL!

Nope, don't own one....not interested in one. I don't like the lines on the knife. They don't flow right to my eye. Just a matter of taste really.

Great story Rick!  While I was looking for an 152 on eBay, I came across 2 of the "Guns & Ammo" Sharpfingers. Not knowing the history, I shied away from those. It would be great to see that old Sharpfinger of yours, if you can find it.

Alexander, just make sure you never put one in your hand. You response will be "OH, NOW I get it!" LOL!
