Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I've 2 more old Buck 110's at my disposal, of the brass and Pakkawood variety. I've done the damascus and wood scale upgrade project already.

What should I do to this single dot/4 pin Buck? I want to hear suggestions from those of you who like myself are interested in seeing something different, outside the box type ideas. Every idea will be considered and none of them scoffed at.

Brad, my suggestion is to use black horn scales plain and polished, with some filework in the lock bar, and a drop point damascus blade. Will be a very unique knife!

I second that. Gorgeous material Giraffe bone. I've got a fixed blade in the stuff and it REALLY makes me want more of it.

How about Giraffe bone

This is what I mean about the scales... I don't know how much for engraving it there in USA, but here is easy to pay. One of those with filework on the lock bar will make the most finest buck I ever saw!

Both the Buffalo and Giraffe are very nice and easy to get. Scroll work & file work are skills I do not possess. Besides, the bolsters are brass, not Nickel silver.

Filework is easy... you just need to make same distance marks and use rounded and triangle files like this pattern: OVOVOVO and the same on the other side... Even myself that born with 2 left hands reached a good result on it...

How about some camel one?

or a nice B Horn with some streaks

Jan, is that dyed camel? The Camel bone I have lying around here is just white.

You say you were born with 2 left hands, but you are left-handed, which would mean you have 2 dominant hands. That would be fantastic, if I had 2 Right hands. LOL

Jan,

I recognize that B horn from the 'Bay". I researched the pricing it is selling pretty cheap right now.

Brad,

It is selling pretty cheap and the pieces have some very nice color.  That is dyed Camel Bone, Donnie has used this color before and it finishes very nicely!  Brad I dont know how you feel abotu file work but Dellana just put out a PDF with step by step instructions for the vine style.  If your interested let me know and I will send it to you

Wow, how busy have I been with regular day-to-day stuff that I let this project lapse. I need to dig this stuff out and hit the refresh button. Hmmmmm...which bin tote has this.

hanging on every word!
