Can we talk to eachother through microphone? If so is it only 1on1 chat? Or can it be multiple people. I don't know if you know how Ventrilo and Teamspeak work, but there good, Ventrilo is cheap and teamspeak is free. Though it doesn't have as many features as Ventrilo.
