Fighting Rooster, Frank Buster

I haven't found a group on Frank Buster / fighting rooster knives. I've collected a few and the history of the man and his knives is an interesting one. If not a group could I or someone begin one?

Boker Pocket Knife

I just recently purchased this Boker. I've collected Case but never boker. I like the history of the Company, it's longevity, and the quality of many of their knives. However, I do prefer my…Continue

"That's a nice looking Buck. I had one back in the day, the 1970s, when I first saw the lock-back at a sporting goods store here in Raleigh, NC. I don't have it now as when I was kid many things were traded and sold - stupidly..."

"Timothy not sure why but I kept pondering this "canoe" pattern over the past couple of days and it occurs to be the venerable Buck 112 is not 'too' far removed from that design. And I have been using one for years. Pic from the…"

"I really don't have a strong affinity for the Canoe knife but every once in a while one will catch my attention like this Kissing Crane. I personally like many pocket knives especially the muskrat, don't ask why maybe the shape... but…"

"Really Nice Timothy! I have just the one Canoe not a user as I have never personally figured out where they 'fit' in the scheme of things. Laurence Ruggiero had a lengthy appreciation piece on this forum discussing the design back in…"

Schrade+ USA Scrimshaw Sharpfinger and Lockback (1)

"Yep. I missed a vintage Schrade Walden Trapper, with red-bone scales, mint, still in original package... It sold for a mere $46.00. I mean nice I had expected it to sale for $75 plus. My wife was near so I laid off the bid."

2000 Muskrat Limited Edition

"Thanks Jan. I thought so too... I'm going to try and eventually get all makes of it by Case. I like the Muskrat and the Stockman - heck I like them all - really. It's a 2000 LE with smooth red-bone scales and beautiful in hand. Thanks for…"

About Me
I'm a part-time photographer, and work for the postal service full-time. A father of two, husband, and a pocket-knife collector of sorts. I grew-up on a farm, my grandfather and father carried pocket-knives as did I. My fascination with quality of knife came when I began deer hunting. My friends and I learned to discern quality of product, then. Since, I've only owned American made knives and such.

My collection taste has become wide a varied since being a part of ik. Mostly Case, from years past and still buy them; but, have now grown fond of FNR, and Pit Bull.
Need a pit bull group. My smart phone is apparently limited to viewing the entire list of groups.
