Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Good afternoon all!!
iKC has made some changes to our format. There are some great things being offered to us by our network support NING. In order for us to take advantage of those offers we needed to move to the new format.
I am so sorry that all the work you did in personalizing your page has gone. But think of the fun you will have customizing it now :) Seriously, I appreciate your bearing with us as we bring upgraded options to iKC.

For those that I have not spoken with recently there has been an opportunity for me personally that I hope you will celebrate with me. Oh and help me improve our community in a way
that works for you! As of this month I am the owner of iKC. What this means to you is that you have a direct line to speak with myself, Steve (Hog) or any moderator directly and let your voice be heard.  Our manager and moderators are listed in the notes (bottom left)
So tell us what YOU want to see in YOUR community, any suggestions are appreciated

Sincerely,
Jan carter

One of the features that NING maintained was the ability to select the visible area of a photo on your icon pic.   However, on some computers, the pop-up screen does not show up all the way.

This presented me with some problems when it was first introduced some time ago.  There have been some questions about the pop-up screen not having a "SAVE" button.

After you have chosen your icon pic and adjusted it, it's time to save it.

The best way that I have found is to go to full screen (hit  the F11 key, on your keyboard).  This removes the headers and footers from the screen.  Then look for the page size button

and chance it from 100%

to 150%.

Now you can see the save button, on the pop-up screen.

Save when you're satisfied with the image.

Be sure to re-size the screen when you're finished.

Craig and I were discussing another feature, in the new format. Not only does it support the live preview, it also archives all of your published pages. You can design as many as you want and change from one to another without having to go through the entire process.

Thanks, J.J.!

The weather feed is a widget that I downloaded from their website.

Thanks, Jan! At first I was startled to see that my previous page was gone. But now that I've had a chance to play with this new software I really like it! Change is hard on us old pharts!

Take a look at the header on my page now. I think I like this version of my Indian best. The colored and textured fabric effect is a design I created Photoshop. I think I'll stick with this look for a while. Good luck to everyone else. There are endless possibilities to explore and there is no limit to what can be done with a little imagination! Have fun!

Cheers!
