WELCOME HOME !

Purchased this queen knife today from a local gentleman

I have quite a few Queen knives but I'm not familiar with this one that I purchased today. The wood is exotic and the knife is marked as seen in the photos. All information would be appreciated...type of wood?, number made? When made? and reasonable fair market value?   thank you all for your help. Please address comments to my personal email address which is pithole@zoominternet.net  There is no damage or imperfections..this is reflection.

Dennis, that makes sense.  Zebra wood was in their regular line up until recently

Since I can't edit my comment below, let me add that it is zebra wood.  Found this LINK showing a better pic of the wood.

That is, most likely, zebrawood.  It almost has a camel thorn look to it, but very much doubt that Queen used camel thorn.

What does the full etch on the blade say ?

..also..

What is the complete stamping on the tang ??

.

Yes .. Queen Cheetah .. there ya go. Technically .. a #01L.

..but..

far more will recognize it ..or.. instantly know what you are describing .. as a Queen Cheetah.

Ah, a Queen Cheetah.. Very , very nice. I have one just like it with the black handles. Think I'll keep it for a while !!!!!!

It's a # 01L swing guard .. with nice wood scales .. not sure exactly what kind though.

Mine is scaled in bright red composite. It's a sweet knife.

Makes me feel like some young "gang member" in an old 50's flick.

The year of manufacture is stamped on the swing guard on mine .. what's on the other side ???

It's still being manufactured ..at least.. you can find them in dealer stock w/o looking too hard.

That'll give you an idea on pricing.
