The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Does anyone collect Smith & Wesson knives? I have a few. Could a S & W group be added?

I've never tried it Charles (I'm afraid of breaking something, lol), but I think you just click on the "+Add a Group" button in the group area.
I just went over and clicked the add a group button. I'm like you Craig. I was kind of afraid to try it. Actually it looked pretty simple except for the setting the URL box. I had no idea what to put there. And I wouldn't want to mess anything up. I wasn't aware that anyone could start a group.
We do have a start on one right now: http://www.iknifecollector.com/group/odds-ends/forum/topics/taylor-...
If we could get 4-5 committed S&W Users and Collectors a formal Group would work fine. You know S&W I think has a pretty good reputation worldwide and lots of folks use and collect them.
This is an old thread, and with the consolidation of lesser groups, I'm not even sure this is valid anymore. But...just in case....I am a S&W collector, and a Colt hoarder. In fact, one of my favorite categories is knives made by fire arm manufacturers, even if the name is licensed out for newer blades - such as S&W.
As stated, I have S&W (both pre and post Taylor Brand made), Colt, Winchester, Beretta, Uzi, Browning, and Mossberg to name a few.
Whether the group is S&W specific or firm arm makers in general, count me in!
Lars, I think a firearms branded group would be great. I don't have as many S&W's as I once did because I gave some away. But I still have a couple and I have several Winchesters and a Browning. I sorta have a Lady Colt, I gave it to my daughter.
Can you feel it Charles...the rumbling of a new group forming? It's sort of like the new island near Tonga in the Pacific. Isn't it exciting?
Yes!
