Does anyone know anything about these? Back in the late 40s or early 50s, Bazooka gum sold a few of these for a dollar as a special promotion and they had a special label on them that said Bazooka instead of camco.

David-These originally came out in 1949 and were limited to 10,000 pieces. However, Bazooka repeated the offer at least 2 more times that I can verify, in 1955 and 1966. There may have been other promotions as well, and the later offers don't seem to indicate a limited quantity. These knives are tough to date without the accompanying box and paperwork from Bazooka. The 1949,1955,&1966 knives appear to be identical. These are cool nostalgia pieces of a pre-knife hysteria time.Value on these runs from about $25 to $100 depending on condition and having the box and all the paperwork from Bazooka. Here are a couple of the Bazooka ads-One from 1955 and one from 1949-

Wow, Mr. McCain, thank you so much for taking the time to share so much info with me. I'm very appreciative. I picked up one of these knives at a garage sale and, admittedly, I don't know much about it but I picked it up because the label said Bazooka instead of Camco and I figured there was something interesting there. I'm trying to figure out what to do with it, it's not in great shape, but I surely appreciate your information and I thank you for taking the time to share it with me.
