Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Thought I would get this thread started with who will be there?  Donnie and I will be leaving Tampa on July 25, 2011.  This should put us in Titusville PA by the 27th.  Now the open house is on Friday July 29th and 30th.   The area is just plain beautiful and there are lots of things to do while there.  Over the next few weeks I'll add some of the knife opportunites in the area and some area information but I'd really like to know....Will you meet us there?

Sure wish I could join you there, but unfortunately not this time around.

The event gets bigger with each year and I'm sure it is a great time for all who can make it.

Well worth the trip, no doubt!

Will the handsome gentleman next to Building #2 be attending?

The dates for the open house is actually Thursday, Friday, Saturday, July 28, 29, 30.  Hey Jan, I would be happy to join you at the open house.....oh yeah, I have to work those days....lol

Queen Cutlery is also hosting a three day event that weekend. They are offering factory tours on that Thursday, and only do so every other year. If you get a chance, check out the Drake Oil Well Museum. As you know, Titusville is the birthplace of the oil industry. Bradford, home of Case, is also relatively close. If you have time and want to go on a short road trip, you can drive to Little Valley, NY and see the Cattaraugus factory. The building is still standing.

I am planning on going to the rendezvous and it will be my first. I started collecting pocket knives within the last year and visited the area and the GEC factory in April.

I'll be attending along with Roger Cunningham

Ken,

Looking forward to seeing you there.  Will see you at the blade show also

I sure will James

Frank,

You are correct.  GEC always tries to tie in their weekend, they understand it is expensive to travel and want to be sure we all get the most from our trips.  Along with the wonderful trips you mentioned...Right down the road is Tidioute.  The old hardware store is alot of fun and the owner is just such a wonderful person you will be there for quite some time

We look forward to seeing you there

Thanks for the info on the hardware store Jan.  I will check it out. Look forward to seeing you at the rendezvous.
