Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

A few of us have been clamoring about knifes that we would like to see. Johnny Two Shoes would like a peanut and a traditional whittler. I would like a scout/utility knife and a traditional whittler. What would you folks like GEC to make next? I'd like one of those spiral cut Red Buffalo Horn Whalers too while we are wishing for things (but that is an existing pattern). I was looking at some of the camp/scout/utility knives that I already have by Camillus, Ulster, Utica, Western (see my photos if interested) and it would seem to me that GEC could make one like these fairly easily (yeah it's easy for me to say) out of their current #53/#54 frame. It might be hard to incorporate the corkscrew that I wanted in our "Gone Camping" discussion in this frame but those folks at GEC work wonders! I have an older Boker Camp knife (see my pics) that has all of the bells and whistles but it doesn't really match any existing patterns and is a beast of it's own.

So what do you all think? I'd be interested in suggestions of new knives and also the scales that you'd like to see on them.

I would also like to see a peanut Johnny.  In a good grade stag

I would like to see GEC come out with a Bull Nose Work Knife in some, Red or Green G-10 or some nice  Koa or Snake wood for the scales. A Sway Back Jack in Stag would be to my liking too!!!!

I agree, I would love to see the bullnose in a wood handle

I would like to see another run of the barehead #85 Bullet End Jack Knives in Ebony, I'd jump on one of them.

Two New Patterns To Ponder

THE MAVERICK

BENJAMIN L. HOGAN 1865

I'm still waiting on my Scout knife! Add Calico bone to the list of preferred handle materials.  How about a two blade #79 jack knife with a clip main blade and either a pen secondary or a wharncliffe secondary similar to the old Case 6231 1/2 in Red Bone?

Wonder how the new Hogans will be dressed? Might be nice to dress him up in Black Lip Pearl, Real Pearl, Ivory or Abalone with a clip blade.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be alone on this, but, I'd like to see them do a smaller size knife. Say, about 2 3/4" closed. It's pretty much about the only size range they don't have.....a truly small knife.

lockback whittler,teardrop jack,sweyback jack,lockback sodbuster.

i know case doesnt make em with lock backs but a few companies do{bear and son, kissing crane} and if any blade should have a locking system ...the sodbuster is one...IMO.

personally i would have loved to seen some MODS on the ben hogan pattern as well.i love that knife.its the perfect pattern for a number of blade types.

craig i agree.but to make a really small knife you need really small everything else, especially the dies.

even more so if they are gonna make a solid one.but i wouldnt mind a little 1.5incher in plain white bone lazer etched GEC!

Case makes a single blade Doctor's knife, which is sleek and elegant. Just think what GEC could do with that pattern. I'm thinking Primitive Bone or Elk. I tell you, I would be all over that knife.

Anything that has glow in the dark handles!
I collect doctor's knives, and I'm with Gary on this one... But I'm a traditionalist, and I want the spatula blade as well...not just the spear...
