A very unusul straight razor made by Holley.

When I was growing up, I remember my father using a straight razor to shave.  He also had a strop hanging in the bathroom and used it to tone up his razor's edge.  Here are two of his razors I inherited  after he passed over the rainbow bridge.

These are so cool Geaorge - thanks for sharing them. I remember both my dad and grandfather using straight razors on a regular basis. I bleed like a stuck pig using a Gillette Labs razor - just can't bring myself to make friends with one of these. I sure love having them though.

No hallmarks visible (maybe on other side)? Is the blade silver as is typical, or steel? Or silver plated? Is the tang stamped? I like it!

Dennis

Just to the left of the pin/joint is stampeD "HOLLEY MFG CO" and below that a word that may be "Best." My photography skills are not the best, so it doesn't show well.  I can't tell what the blade is, but I would guess steel.
