Below is a list of shields that have been used on Case knives. There are several that are not included --

Shields were pinned on bone and stag handled Case knives until the late 1970's at which point the company started gluing them on.

A relatively new shield used on knives manufactured sometime after 2000.

http://www.knifedb.com/  is also a good place to see  Case shields and information

Sorry about that link, it requires you to register. Seems like I tried it one time and  I  just remembered the login kept getting messed up, when it worked it was good information.

Thank you John and you too Ricky for helping! I am copying the link to this discussion and posting a copy in the Discission started by new member Marc. This just might help him a little.

Ricky,

I just clicked on the link and registration was quick and painless. I just copied this to my favorites tab. There is a ton of useful info there if you are researching a Case knife, whether by shield, model #. handle material , etc. They also  catalogue SFOs, too. Thanks, for the link, it will be a handy reference source to refer to when needed.
