Hi there , I am new to the group and just started collecting. My mom gave me this knife and said it belonged to my grandfather. I can not make out who it was made by. Any help I would appreciate. Thanks a bunch!

What are the letters you can read? I can see PETE(?) ROTHE(?) U(?)T(?)(?).... If you could fill in any of the (?) would help.

Those are also the letters that I can make out. Underneath that though I can make out the letters CUTLE. It is a smaller knife

   I couldn't find any reference to PETER ROTHE CUTLERY CO. in either GOINS Or LEVINE IV.However there is A GEBRUTER PETERS BROTHERS CUTLERY. A (Cir.1880) German firm. Are there any marks on the back of the blade ?
