Well after this summers extreme temperatures especially here in the Midwest and extreme or near extreme temps all over the US.

How likely is it we face food shortages next year?

I am gonna go out on a limb and say "not to likely" - some things may go up in price maybe but that's probably all we will see around here anyway.

The drought is severe and I will post a map for you to look at? It just may lead to food shortages, in fact fairly likely!

Water will be at a premium and is already being rationed.

This is not good.  That includes many communities.  Farming and cattle are in that upper 1/4 of the redzone.  The lower portion actually gets most of their water from the upper part of the state, through a pipeline system
