The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I have no idea what is in this collection that we inherited. I am starting with the earliest by looks to me and going forward through this first case. Jan gave me a good direction on where to go to find the maker of this particular knife. I will post pictures and findings as I go.
The only history I have on this knife, is a hand written tag. It says Silver Gilt MOP Knife Paris 1810.

It is amazing the amount of research that can go into a single knife
Heather- Looks very similar in design to a Simon Salmon knife who made these in Paris circa 1807-1825. Not saying he is the maker, but close in design. If you can provide some good close up pictures of the 3 hallmarks on the blade so I can tell what they are, I will attempt to identify them for you-- Here is a Simon Salmon knife of the same vintage so you can see the similarities.
