Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I am a hot sauce addict! My favorite is generally Tabasco. But there are others that I like too. Gunshot Sauce I love, though it isn't really hot....even their "Hot" one. But it has great taste, and can use it for marinade, BBQ sauce, everything. I also have been trying out Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine Hot Sause. Once again not really hot to me, but very good. I always use Tabasco as the baseline for hotness.

Do you have a favorite?

Incredible flavor !!

??? .. anyone a favorite recipe for a sweet hot sauce they'd care to share .. ???

4 cloves of minced garlic

1 cup of diced red onion

3 cups of diced tomatoes

3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

2 medium chili peppers

4 habanero peppers, seeded

1 cup of distilled white vinegar

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons white sugar

Directions:

1. Over medium heat in a large saucepan, heat oil and add the onion, chili peppers, habanero peppers and garlic. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the onions begin to brown. Stir continuously.

2. Reduce heat. Add the vinegar, tomatoes, salt and sugar. Stir until the tomatoes break down. Roughly 6 minutes.

3. Place mixture in blender and blend until a puree is formed.

4. Pour mixture through a fine mesh sieve.

5. Let mixture cool for an hour.

Tabasco

Thanks Jan .. I'll try that.

Anyone try hot sauce made with Bhut Jolokia? It's the hottest pepper in the world - 855,000 heat units on the scoville scale! Tabasco is 2,500–5,000.

Anyone buy from thses guys?

I've used some of the "Daves" hot sauce,  Definately the hottest I've ever had.

The Caution tape says it all.

I second CRYSTAL's. It has the perfect balance of Flavor and heat. It is the only hot sauce good enough to be on my desk.

The "Ghost Pepper".  I've heard you shouldn't eat it if you have a heart condition and if you don't have a heart condition you will after eating it.
