Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hi everyone,
I bought this huge Hirschkrone Big Bowie from a bloke who said it was from the late '70's. Has anyone got one or know anything about this knife. It is 24" long overall. It is razor sharp and beautifully polished. The tag says Hirschkrone Solingen.
Merry Christmas to all, from Australia

Alex,

I do not know enough about them.  You may want to try asking our folks in the Bowie Buddy Group

Alex, most of what I can research is limited to some early American Bowies or Sheffield made Bowies. Not currently finding anything on this particular one but I will keep checking.

I have seen ones similar to this and they were called "Bowie Short Swords" An odd combination of the names but appropriate.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the info, any idea what it is likely to be worth?

No idea. Sorry.
