Hi Michelle, That is a sweet little knife. It was made after 1891 and likely before WWI. The country of origin was required on products imported to the USA from 1891 so it may very well be an import brand name rather than the actual maker's name. Can you identify some of the letters in the top line of the stamp? Thanks

yes.. Very, very difficult reading VERY tiny on that tang stamp. I am not sure spelling '_ _EWE' Cutlery' I am trying my best very close to see read.... Of course it come from Germany.

looks like a minature cigar knife style doesn't it?

interesting did you try rubbing that tang with soft pencil to see if anything showed?

Yes. But it isn't minature. Honestly, I never see it like this before. Seem very rare

Hi Michelle. What are the dimensions of your knife please? Closed length and height? Thanks

I am still searching myself and so far no match! SK i hope you are on to something!

No still nothing on the maker. I have a similar pattern with stripped celluloid scales but it is a Sheffield made knife so that doesn't help at all.

Could the stamp be read as "ENGLEWERK"???   I have a German made knife from Englewerk Cutlery. Are there any other tang stamps or markings on it?

Any chance it says GERMANIA?  I have this little shoe knife my grandmother got at the 1904 Worlds Fair.

Englewerk? hummm it could be.... Let me check tiny stamp on small blade.....
