Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Kicking myself right now- Most knife shows are 500+ miles away from me- Just figured out that I am missing a knife show in my state I could have easily attended and that will be basically over by the time I drive there-Could we PLEASE include the city AND State in the events section?? Belleville  Knife Show for example.More than one state has a city named Belleville.Arena names and expo names don't tell us where they are located in the US if not already familiar with then previously. I'll climb off my soapbox now- Just still mad at myself for not checking closer- ARRGH

I agree John, I have often wondered where the different shows are located.

Well here is the problem. Only Jan does the events. It is supposed to be ANYBODY can make an event. She goes to a web site and copies them over. I would guess been doing this about 3 years now. So sometimes not every event gets in the right way or in its entirety.

I forget the web site she uses, I. Am sure she can provide and that can be a reference or perhaps you could enter shows you know are in your state or location. It's a fun way for other iKC members to find you and we always enjoy pictures from a show.

I do events....but I'm 1000 miles away from your guys so that probably doesn't help much.

Here's one of the lists that I check, John.http://www.gunshows-usa.com

Alexander,

I do appreciate that you certainly keep up with internationals for us and it does make a difference.  With members all over the world, you probably make sure as many people are aware of shows they can get to as I do.

I have missed the the Plaza Cutlery sponsored "Southern California Custom Knife Show" every year since I have learned of it's existence. I live and work 20 minutes from where it is held every year. It just happens to fall on the weekend that my sweet and lovely girls want to go to the Pumpkin Patch. Maybe I can get them to move that to the Sunday part of that weekend instead of the Saturday.

Jan,

I copied that show info in a message for you to post when you think the time is right. Oct. 11th & 12th.

I just checked the events list.  There are five shows listed.  Two of them did not list the state or city.  I could not tell by the listing where they were being held.  However by Googleing the name of the venue where they are being held, I was able to find the state and city..  So it is possible that the location could be determined even if it is not listed.  But it would be nice if it was in the listing.

In my current situation I am not able to attend a show if it requires an overnight stay.  So about 2 to 3 hours is the maximum distance I could go to attend a show.

The events list is being caught up this weekend, I sincerely apologize for the delay.  I encourage any of you that search for shows to add them to events if you find one :)

You might want to try Knife World Magazine, in the back they have clubs and knife shows and all through it they have all kinds of info! My local club gives you a subscription when you pay your dues!

Hey Max!  That is a great club perk!  Which club is that?

American Edge Collectors Assoc. Lake Michigan Region. You can find their notice on page 32 of the June issue in Club Corner listed under Illinois. But I just looked in my July issue and didn't see Club Corner (listing all the clubs around the country) In the issue.
