Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I had the good fortune to walk into an Orvis store the other day.  I noticed they carried a few knives.  I was intrigued by two brands that I saw.  One I had never heard of, the other too generic to tell.

The first was a line of nice looking traditional folders by Col. Littleton out of Lynville, TN.

The second were some Orvis branded knives made in Managio Itialy which were not stamped with the type of steel used called the guncheck folding knife.

Does anyone have any other information or reviews on these knives?  Who makes the knives for Col. Littleton?  I have not found anything that indicates they make their own.  Are they any good?

Thanks.

After looking at the Col. Littleton knives I went over to the Bear and Sons web page and compared some of the models. It appears that they may have been made by Bear. One of the linerlocks that is offered has the same pin locations, the hole in the blade is the same shape, really just the overall looks of the knives lend me to believe that Bear and Sons is the real maker. But this is just my opinion and it ain's worth much.

The Orvis knife I am not shure about, there are several well known makers in that part of Italy including those made for/by Beretta.

Hope you find out for shure.
