Don't know much about KaBar Scouts, I have lots of Scouts buy no KaBar - I'd like to get one.

do you have a picture Robert?

Here's that Kabar Scout. The blades could be better but it's tight as a drum.  This is the first Kabar Scout, I've seen, so I wanted bad. I'm trying to build up a few Scouts in my collection.

Great score Robert - good start on a scout collection.

I'll need to do some investigating, Robert.   What i can say for starters is post 1955.  I assume that's jigged delrin?

Yes, I think it is Delrin. Thanks for your trouble.

There comes a time when I'm not sure what I've shown and what I haven't shown already.  Does anyone else run into that problem?  I'm not sure if this one has made it here yet so I'm going to post it.  It's an Imperial Diamond Edge made in Ireland.

Actually it is one of three that I have.  They were sold in a three pack!  all three mint in the box.

I haven't seen it before, nice Scout. I wonder why they quit making knives in Ireland.

Was so excited to get this one in. Its The Ideal Camper. Came with a bail and all the tools. Here is what is interesting...take a look at the can opener on the left. It is sharpened to a point, and has an edge that is sharp! Could operate as a fish cutter itself! All blades are sharp and operational..I think in its day this camper had some use!

Steve, nice score on that one. Yes, that can opener is unusual - and useful.

Thanks for the info, Steve.  I've had bad luck with Ideal knives in the past so have been avoiding bidding on them.  What would you say is a good price for the one you have in the condition shown?

This was one of those bargain basement deals at $5.00 I think I was the only bidder. It just looked in good enough shape to pay that and a few bucks shipping. I did not even know The Ideal made a camper so was happy to see it. I agree, I am finding the brand is kind of low priced and in general poor condition. Looking to assemble a dozen or so just to have some representation of the brand. Yes I will be on the lookout for more campers!
