Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Anyone got anything special planned by way of knife purchases in the coming year. As it is only my second year of being a knife collector rather than a person who just has a few , one or two , knives about him.  I was thinking of planning this years knives ,I don't really believe this will make it past March ! I have a Bill Ruple Trapper on the way, and a lovely looking thing it is too. Anyway having become a steel snob as well as a knife collector I am thinking that I should try a Falkniven , I suppose I should go for the slipjoint as locking knives are bad news here in the UK. They aren't illegal but you are supposed to be able to prove that you have a valid use for one if the police should catch you carrying one . An Enzo slipjoint may join it cos they do them with a Scandi grind and I don't have one. In one week Queen are telling us what they are planning for 2015 . Well I would like a large Stockman or Cattle King in ATS34 with a nice set of Rams Horn handle scales ,  thanks very much Mr Daniels .  As I said I doubt that this list will survive in it's current state for too long , but it's a start. Anything that I should look out for ? Have you got anything interesting planned ?

HOLY SHRICKEN SHRADE BATMAN!!!

And so . . . my first knife purchase of 2015 was a CRKT Ken Onion Ripple.  3.16" blade.  Acuto 440 steel.  Bronze Titanium Nitride Coated 420J Stainless Steel Handle Scales.  Frame Lock.  Got a fantastic deal on it.

Nice one Data!

I'm kind of on a Clip blade kick at the moment. The last 4 knives have been clip mains. I think I need to go to sheepfoot now for a while,,,lol.

Saving up my spare change for the Dalton show.

Next purchases will be there...

My goal is cut back on my knife spending but that doesn't mean stop entirely. I think if I can just stop the impulse purchases that would be a great start. Right now the only one that won't leave my head alone is a GEC 92 with red bone handles from the 2012 release. UN-X-LD please.

Interesting Jerry, I think long and hard before my knife purchases, some would say probably too long! This is why I miss out sometimes because I don't want to ever buy a knife on impulse. I have to look, over and over at the pictures and then read others comments/reactions before jumping in. It can be better in the long run but sometimes I'll miss out on getting one for waiting too long. Sounds like to me, you've waited long enough! 2 years since release date seems good to me.

Not too much planned. My knife buying budget is really very limited.

There'll (hopefully) be the 2015 A.G. Russell Texas Ranger.

And other than that.....not too much really. Maybe if I do well at the knifeshow in April I'll buy something from my proceeds on the spot. But lately there are very few things that I've found worthy of my hard earned money. I'm growing picky LOL.

Welllll, I wanted to stop buying lower end stuff and better my Military Collection.Problem is I love these knives so much I can't stand to see one without a good home. I have pretty nice examples but realize if I buy one instead of three I'm better off?!?:( I have a question for anyone who knows,, I bought a mint A.C.C. M-4 Bayonet with mint scabbard this morning.Paid a lot I think. Does anyone know the going rate for this? John

A month and a half later and the end of February is just three days away. I got almost to the end of January with no purchases before a "must have" popped up, now I have it. February is a totally different story. I bought nine this month.

So far.

I think I'm going to have to strengthen my resolve for March.

Nine in a month Jerry , I would be in trouble if I bought nine in a month .  Only One so far this year if you don't count one I had to send back. Oh and that one hasn't arrived yet . I almost feel virtuous !!
