Wow, just wow. I think we can scratch the notion of a "replica" of a Randall model 18 now. I'm really trying to get anything into my head as to what kind of use this knife has but nothing comes to mind except a backyard attempt at a gun knife or some cruel form of party joke.

 

Well, atleast you have a -very- unique knife there :)

 

You could always get a good high-performance spring, remove the leather and make proper vanes and put a nice little tip on it. Could be a fun time-waster on rainy days!

I know it would drop the jaw of me if I saw that knife shoot out a dart suddenly lol. I wish you the best of luck with your modifications if you try them out. The knife itself is surprisingly interesting, the first time I saw it I was like "what on earth is this junk" when I saw the flashlight-like handle, but obviously the eye can deceive you quite readily :)
