Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hi everyone and welcome to our newest members,

Something we have not talked about lately is new aquisitions.  Tell us about your latest and greatest GEC.  Donnie bought me both the new 23's in the Beavertail (Worlds greatest husband by the way)  He got himself the newest 73 in Primitive bone.  THAT is a heck of a nice knife.

What have you gotten lately?

Nice Johnny, whats it's first chore?

Hey Jan, it's done a few light chores, but nothing special.

It's started a light patina after some food usage and I already like it more. The scales are changing on me and I don't think they were supposed to. I'll share more on that later, I have to prove my theory first.

P.S.

The scale change is not a negative, it's really changing in a good direction.

I just placed my order for a GEC Tradder in Cocabolo #13. You know years ago there was an outdoor magazine called"Hunter Tradder, Trapper". I think that was the name, maybe one of the old timers can correct me if I'm wrong. I wonder if GEC got their idea for the names of the knives from there?

Sounds nice Jan, got any pictures?

I have been waiting for a GEC larger lockback for two years. Well they finally came out, I had been watching for one, on my GEC dealer, when they were gonna post the Cocobolo Traders. Well it's a good thing I kept a good watch on it, because when they came out I hurried an order the one I wanted, and by the next morning, they were all sold out. Wow!

Robert,

I am so glad you got one!

Perry,

I am so sorry...I somehow missed your question on the trader

  • Tidioute Trade Mark
  • 1095 High Carbon Clip Blade
  • 4.25" Closed
  • 7.625" OAL Open
  • .5" Thick (Approx)
  • 3.2 oz Approx

Well Miss Jan, I'm the proud owner of a GEC Trader, with Cocobolo handles. It has the best cocobolo handles I've ever seen. Since it's gonna be a user, I plan on doing a review, in the Sharper Review group, later. I can tell, I'm gonna like this knife.

Robert,

HURRAY!!!!  I am so glad you got one and like the looks of it.  I am excited about the review, I gotta feeling this knife is gonna be just want you envisioned and maybe more

Yes Mam, I bought, their first lockback but it was a little small for my hands. When a person is a little disable, they need a good grip on the knife. This one is just what the doctor ordered.lol GEC, has really done a great job on designing this knife and building it. Sas sai bon!
