ok i just got a manuel jeep and i want to put the stacked leather handle of a kabar as the shifter... so il take any thing with a handle in good condition i dont care about the blade condition or even if it has one (i need at-least 1" or 1 1/2" of the tang how ever)...

that is an awesome idea! i dont have a blade that you can use, but wish you luck in finding one!
would like to see some pics of the finished grear shifter when you get it done!

you got it dude as soon as as its done il post pic.s... till then il be on the hunt for a busted kabar with a good handle... i wonder if i can email/call kabar see if they have a defective knife they will sell me for cheap...

I have one in my Jeep...Don't know if you found one yet(I know this is old) but heres a Ka-bar handle gear shifter, the same one I have....... Kabar Shifter...........
ya i broke down and cut the blade off my beloved kabar... i was sure i had pictures but i guess not... il post them now

Nice!!! I like the looks of the t handle better than the one I have. Probably easier to grab too.

I have one.  I just catalogued some knives and I am organizing them on a special Facebook page.  I plan, eventually to post them here but I have a lot of knives!!  Never used, pristine condition, with a sheath.  Attached a picture.  My husband left me 32 fixed blade and 20 pocket knives.  You are welcome to look at them on the Facebook page.
