Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Ok, I have a question for all of you knife lovers out there: What is your favorite blade shape?

And we will put this in 2 catigories

1)Fave shape for use

2)Fave shape as far as just pure cool factor goes, what shape do you like just purely for the looks.

If you can please post pics, draw it, take a picture, or grab something offline (if you can).   Not everyone will know exactly what the technical name for a certain blade shape may be.

Also lets hear why you like each and what makes the blade hold that special place in your heart.

If you like Garands, here's a link to some pics of mine. It's 100% July, 1942.

I saw the pics and left a note over there. I guess it's in your album. Great knife and great stories. Your dad was heck of a pilot if he could put a "Hog" on a flight deck. That was a HELL of a plane and not known for being easy to land on flat tops. They also called it the "Ensign Eliminator."

Thanks for sharing,

Willie

Im really liking the stories behind some of these knifes that you guys are showing.  I agree with Hog... the stories just make the knifes that much better.
Something a little different, at least for me, is the leaf shaped blade.  I've been carrying this little one for several months now and enjoy using it.

Rusty,

I LIKE that!!!!  Whats the length on it?

Nice little Spyderco, Rusty
It is called a Dragonfly and is about 3 1/8" long closed.  It feels bigger in my hand because the tang area is part of the grip.  The VG-10 steel is comparable to 440C with a little vanadium added.
I really like it Rusty, may have to have me one!!
The leaf shape ones are one of my other favorite EDC blades as well.  They are very versatile, and work great in the smaller blade lengths.
It reminds me of a baby whittler

Willie,

There are some sweet spear blades in that photo.  Could you tell me about the upper right second from the top?
