Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Out of curiosity, I am wondering what line of work each of us are in or was in.

As for me, I run the manufacturing end of Roseburrough Tool Co. in Orange, CA. A privately owned company.
Since 1949 this company has been making concrete, masonry, asphalt & plastering hand tools(trowels, floats..etc). My largest competitors are Marshalltown Tool, and Kraft Tools. Both of these companies are located in the Midwest, but have been importing the majority of their tools from Asia. I can vouch for Marshalltown's wood darbies, because they buy them from me.

Well that is a little bit about how I afford my hobby. How about you?

Nice way to get to know one another Brad, I like it.  Donnie  remodels homes and I am a banker

Howdy y'all. I worked as a Corrections Lieutenant in a state prison, before retiring.

Thirty two years as a Union Bricklayer. I'm sending in the papers for my Pension Application tomorrow. I've been selling knives as a Distributor for Great Eastern Cutlery in my spare time for the last four years. I will now devote most of my time to that.

Someone familiar with the type of product I manufacture. Although not familiar with my company. Good luck with you 2nd career.

With a nickname like uncle whiskers, I would have never guessed you were a corrections officer.

You both still work? Where do you find the time? The website, the tradeshows & a day job.

I work on airplane parts. Machine operator. Been doing it for 25 years.

A skilled machine operator. I admire the skill of processing a piece of raw stock into an intricate part.

I've been running a waterjet for the last few years but I didn't figure anyone would know what it was.

I'm a Chief Engineer for a dredging company.

I retired early because of spine problems. I used to be a Technical Representative (repair man LOL!) for Xerox Corp. Cass works for a commercial insurance company.

My working career went by as follows. First, I was an Enforcement Agent for the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, my next job, I was an Electrician for the Unerversity of Louisiana. While there, I went to class studying Refrigeration and electrical. My last and final job, found me working for the Saint Landry Parish School Board, as head of the department that included, Commercial refrigeration, Commercial kitchen equpment, Air Conditioning [ Commercial and Residential], Appliances [commercial and residential] also some Electrical. I had a large crew, with some great guys. I worked there for 30 years. I retired at 100% of my salalery. I worked for the state, my whole life. Now days, I hunt and fish and grow a little garden.
