Thanks Perry!
Nice! That blade kind of reminds me of my Mini Stryker......tough blades!
Very Nice! Perfect for the pocket!
Bob, that's a beaty with that color! Sure do like that autumn jig bone!
I have my old Case yellow composition trapper in my pocket today! I can't find the pic so will have to take one LOL
For the last two years, I’ve carried the same two knives. A Victorinox Spartan Lite with aftermarket plus scales and a Victorinox Midnite Manager. They have more that met any and all of my EDC needs. This past Sunday was my best friend’s 55th birthday. At least it would’ve been if he hadn’t died a little over a year ago. As some of you know, I was gifted a box of junk knives that was cluttering his garage. Of course among those knives were about a dozen gems.
One of the Diamonds in the rough was a Case XX 6207 Mini Trapper. The back scale was broken and the blades were rusted shut. With some TLC I managed to make the blades operational and with a little marine epoxy and some handy work with a wood carving tools and staining I was able to make the back scale look presentable.
Obviously this wonderful little Case XX isn’t collector’s grade, especially considering the scale but the blades are tight, sharp and clean and it fits nicely in the pocket. While it hasn’t replaced either of my EDC, I think I’ll be carrying until May 26 rolls around again. Afterwards, I think I’ll choose another knife from Mike’s box of junk knives. I mean what the heck! It is an actual pre dot Case XX with some meaning behind it. I can’t think of better reason to put it in a pocket.
Front side of the 6207 mini-trapper
Backside of same knife. Note broken handle near the lower bolster/spine
Looks like a good one for the pocket!
