Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I hear from a lot of you that the fall shows are in your sights!  I love to hear that.  Maybe our members can meet up in person.

So let’s talk about who will attending at the different shows.  Whether you are a vendor or a visitor at a show, let us know you will be there.

We have 2 coming up:

SMKW rep weekend  Oct 11-13

Harvey's Hardware Artisans Tour featuring Todd Hart & Brian Jones Land O Lakes FL  11-09-13

I am taking my grandson and son-in-law to the show in Cambridge, Ohio on October 19. I am hoping to get to meet Miss Sue and Ken Speilvogel as I have a great deal of respect and admiration for them. Maybe some more members will be there as well.

I am planning on the Ohio Classic in Cambridge, OH. Look forward to meeting Chuck and Sue there. I feel like I know them both. Great people.

We only have one show around here and it's in the spring. There may be some that are not too far away. I'll have to check. This years show was the best so for, with a lot more knife makers there. I got to meet some of them. I met and bought a knife from Fred Durio. He only lives about 20 miles away.

The only "Knife" shows around here are in May.  Both the North Carolina and South Carolina shows were good, this year.

There is also a Easton, PA knife show

I like that show. Nice, friendly atmosphere. More like a club show. Even though the show is not very big (about 80 tables), but you can find almost anything that you need. Custom, production, supplies.

The only draw back (for the vendors) - there is only one cafeteria there and food is "not great". before

So, for the visitors, I'd suggest - eat before you enter the show.

Overall - most people are enjoying it.

I have a table there - come say "Hello"

In October we will be at St Simons Island at an Arts and Crafts show. Yes I know strange but it is fun.  Then in November Larry and Brad will travel to the Wanenmacher Gunand Knife Show.  That is about it for this year.

I'll be going to the Gembloux show in Belgium in November. Should be good. I've never been but I've been hearing good things about it.
